Running bond—a pattern where each brick overlaps the seam below it, so cracks can't run straight up
Course—one level row of bricks or blocks in a wall
Foundation—the strong, flat base that a whole wall is built on top of
Level—a tool with a floating bubble that shows if a row is perfectly straight
